To maintain a unified and professional look across all platforms, the School of Arts and Sciences follows Rutgers University's standardized graphic elements, including official colors, fonts, and symbols. These design standards help reinforce our brand and ensure consistency in all communications. Rutgers refers to its collection of logos as signatures. These signatures and graphic elements are essential branding tools that help maintain a consistent visual identity for the School of Arts and Sciences.
For additional guidance and resources, please visit the Rutgers Logos, Signatures, and Visual Identity website.
All departments and units in the School of Arts and Sciences are required to use the Rutgers R with the School of Arts and Sciences signature on all materials including digital, print, and merchandise intended for internal and external audiences.
Before using the signatures, please review the Visual Identity System User Guidelines provided below. The guidelines establish consistency in the visual expression of our brand presentation through guidance on the allowable colors, signature style options, and resources available.
A new signature for a SAS unit, department, or center can be requested. The request will be reviewed by a member of the SAS Office of Communications, Events, and Alumni Engagement and then by Rutgers University Communications and Marketing (UCM). Upon approval, signature graphic files will be created and emailed to the requestor. Those files will also be archived and available through the signature search function. Please be sure to search before requesting a new signature.
