Robin Leichenko, Professor of Geography, specializes in the fields of economic geography and the human dimensions of global environmental change, with a particular focus on the social and economic impacts of climate change. She is a fellow of the American Association of Geographers and was a recipient of a Rutgers Scholar-Teacher award in 2018. She has served as Chair and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Geography and also co-founded and co-led the Rutgers Climate Institute.

As Dean of the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS), she works with department chairs in SBS and the Executive Dean to assist with hiring and promotion of faculty, maintain oversight of undergraduate and graduate instruction within departments and programs, and work with faculty and chairs to promote professional and departmental development. She also participates in the strategic planning and decision-making process of the School of Arts and Sciences providing recommendations and assistance to the Executive Dean.
