janet golden aug 2013Janet Golden is a Professor Emerita at Rutgers where she specializes in the history of medicine, childhood, womens' history, and American social history. Her most recent book is Babies Made Us Modern: How Infants Brought Americans into the Twentieth Century, (Cambridge Unveristy Press, 2018). She is also the author, editor, or co-editor of nine other books. Janet co-edits the Critical Issues in Health and Medicine Series at Rutgers University Press and the Philadelphia Inquirer's public health blog The Public Health. Her work has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Endowment for Humanities, the Commonwealth Fund, and the American College of Obstretricians and Gynecologists among other funders.
