Department of Psychology

Alisa plays an indispensable role that far exceeds her title. Her multifaceted contributions, especially her steadfast support of graduate and undergraduate students, are vital to the Department’s research success and smooth operation. Her warm and friendly demeanor is an invaluable asset, easing students’ transition into the complexities of university protocols and regulations while making the lab feel more accessible and welcoming. A critical part of Alisa’s role is the initiative she brings to student training and mentoring, which she approaches with both humor and structure. One of her greatest strengths is her proactive approach to guiding students toward independence. She not only trains students on the technical aspects of lab protocols but also educates them on the importance of adherence to these guidelines. Her detailed explanations, often paired with humor, reinforce the significance of compliance and careful handling, making her training sessions memorable and impactful.
