Office of Communications
The School of Arts and Sciences Office of Communications is responsible for promoting the school as the unified liberal arts program of Rutgers University.
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Communications, the Office builds relationships with and acts as a resource for all academic departments, programs, and centers in Arts and Sciences.
The Office serves the school by gathering and developing news, feature stories, and other multimedia content about Arts and Sciences to share with the university community, the public, and the news media. The communications staff is also available to help Arts and Sciences units develop communications strategies for special events or other needs. As part of the collection and distribution of news and events in the school, the Office collects Departmental Reports of faculty achievements two times a year and sends out weekly events emails.
The Office works closely with Media Relations to coordinate story development, publicity, and media outreach.
The Office creates and maintains the content and functionality of the Arts and Sciences website, and is charged with seeing that units in the school presents a unified and cohesive image by helping centers, departments, and other units in Arts and Sciences meet visual identity standards on websites and printed publications.
