DOUA THOR - Discussant
Hmong Immigrant and Director of the Washington DC Southeast Asian Resource Action Center
will discuss the film and issues of deportation

This film is a gripping documentary that humanizes the United States' tragically flawed
immigration policy. The film follows the story of 3 Cambodian-American immigrants through
the deportation process under strict anti-terrorism legislation. Raised in inner city
Seattle, they pay an unbearable price for mistakes they made as teenagers. Caught between
their tragic pasts and an uncertain future, each young man confronts a legal system that
offers no second chances.

Cosponsored by American Studies, Geography, Asian American Cultural Center, Khmer
Kampuchea-Krom Cultural Association and the Campus Deans of Livingston and College Avenue.
