There are numerous ways that faculty, students, and staff can engage with and support the 2009-2010 Global Initiatives theme on Ecologies in the Balance? Here we list a few suggestions:

1) Encourage students to attend events by making the attendance part of the class requirements;

2) Highlight on websites classes that your department/unit is offering throughout the year that are relevant to the theme;

3) Encourage students to do an internship or honors theses that is relevant to the theme;

4) Identify faculty and students that are interested in the theme and organize informal discussion session(s);

5) Promote Global Initiatives events (add them to your calendar, to your newsletter, etc);
