Dean of Life Sciences, Vice President for Health Science Partnerships
Ken Breslauer is the Linus C. Pauling Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology; his laboratory focuses on the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic protocols to address a broad range of biomedical challenges, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. As Dean of Life Sciences and Vice President for Health Science Partnerships, he works with leaders in the life sciences throughout the university, the medical school, the state, and the region to establish partnerships that position Rutgers at the cutting edge of clinically relevant biomedical research. With departmental chairs and directors, he provides oversight for the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, promotion, and retention of faculty and staff critical to the tripartite university missions of research, education, and service. He also participates in the strategic planning and decision-making process of the School of Arts and Sciences providing recommendations and assistance to the Executive Dean.
