The History Department is dedicated to researching and teaching all periods of History from the ancient world to the present day.  With interests spanning the globe from Southeast Asia to North America, its award-winning undergraduate program teaches students how to think creatively about what the past means for the contemporary world and how to understand the links between the past, the present, and the future.  The Department is committed to pushing the frontiers of historical knowledge and constantly strives to disseminate and communicate that knowledge as widely as possible.
