Geography
|
The Department of Geography at Rutgers University is a competitive program with a commitment to providing a distinctive academic experience for students and faculty by encouraging challenge, debate and the scholarly exchange of ideas. Serving 60 to 80 undergraduate majors, the program is big enough to equip students with a full portfolio of essential techniques, but small enough to accommodate individual needs. The Graduate Program encourages work on a wide range of research specialties and fosters strong interdisciplinary ties. Specific research topics reflected in the work of our faculty include: human geography and social theory; physical geography; and environmental geography. The department boasts close collaborative links with a number of interdisciplinary research institutes and curricular programs. |
